NDLEA Academy Graduate’s 1,978 Cadets Officers

National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) Academy has on Wednesday graduated about 1,978 Cadets assistant superintendent of narcotics basic course 15, 2021.

The 1,978 graduands who came from the 36 states of Nigeria and Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja, were undergone months of series training in NDLEA Academy Koton Rikkos, Jos, Plateau State capital.

Speaking during the passing out parade, the chairman and Chief executive NDLEA Brig.Gen. Mohammed Buba Marwa (rtd), said the occasion marks another phase in the rapid development of the agency.

Marwa stated that NDLEA hold a world class agency as they host best brains in Africa, noting that their philosophy, policies and plans is driven by constant training and retraining personnel.

He revealed that cadet course 15 was the largest course ever since the establishment of the agency 32 years ago.

While commending the resilience of management and staff of the NDLEA academy Jos under the able leadership of commandant Hamza Umar, Marwa said they have commenced overhaul of the system.

Turning to the graduands, the Chief executive NDLEA charged them to be diligent, loyal, honest and dedication to duty in line with the philosophy of the agency.

“As anti narcotics agent don’t be tempted with any form of gratification by the cartel who bent on tarnishing the image of this nation as a result of their dubious act.

“I want to be firm and remain resolute to you calling. Do not disappoint the agency, do not disappoint yourself!

“We are working assiduously to put in place a palatable welfare package that would shield you from compromise”, Marwa mentioned.

He applauded President Muhammadu Buhari for supporting the agency and also the Government and people of Plateau State for creating an enabling environment.

Marwa however, disclosed that all the 1,978 graduands will be dispatched across the 774 Local Government Areas of the federation.

Meanwhile, the academy presented the award of excellence for seven graduands of Cadets course 15 who have distinguished themselves.
