Obaseki Rains Encomiums On Okowa as he Commissions Road and Bridge

Edo State Governor Mr. Godwin Obaseki on Tuesday commissioned the Effurun-Ottor-Ovwor- Olomu bridge, and the rehabilitation of 34km Otu Jeremi Okwagbe Road, in Ughelli South LGA of Delta State.
Speaking after the commissioning, he called for an upward review of the 13 percent derivation formula, saying it’s inadequate for the development of the South – South due to the peculiarity of the environment in the region.
The governor who pointed out that with the quality of projects being executed by Okowa across the state, it’s obvious, that he will do more with better funds, stating that he had moved up from road master to bridge master.
Okowa is a champion of modern day democracy and represent the ideal of great leadership, particularly with the quality of work he does with the derivation fund, adding that he’s not only building bridges, but also building social, economic and community bridges.
Gov Okowa said, the bridge was one of the major request of the people when he came calling in 2015. adding that the vision of his administration is to connect Delta to communities with roads, bridges and other basic amenities, stating that his administration has awarded contracts for 500 road projects, with many already completed.
He said, today I believe that my joy knows no bound because we have brought joy to the people of Ovwor Olomu/ Effurun- Ottor.
