“Our Students Are Safe, No Abduction “-Gamji College Dismisses Report of Students’ Abduction as Fake
Management of Gamji College of Health Technology, Sokoto, has dismissed as false reports that 18 of its students were kidnapped by suspected terrorists while travelling to Oyo State.
The college, in a public clarification signed by its Registrar, Bello Abdulrahman, obtained by SpyeTV News, the report published by Sahara Reporters on October 5, 2026, was misleading and did not reflect the actual situation.
The report had alleged that 18 students of the institution were abducted while travelling to Oyo State and that the driver of their vehicle was killed.
However, the college management categorically denied the incident, stating that no student of Gamji College of Health Technology was kidnapped.

It said all its students were safe and currently at their various destinations, continuing with their academic and professional programmes as planned.
The management urged parents, guardians, stakeholders and members of the public to disregard the report and refrain from further circulating what it described as fake news.
It also reaffirmed its commitment to the safety and welfare of students, noting that the institution would continue to work with relevant security agencies to maintain a safe environment for learning and training.
The college advised the public to rely on its official communication channels for accurate and up-to-date information.
