The sociocultural organization of the Pan people in Nigeria and diaspora known as Pan Development Association (PDA) has elected new National Exercutive members of the organization to pilot the affiars of the organization.

The election is coming as a new dawn for the people and optimistic that the new leadership will chat a new front for them within and outside the country after several years of a malfuctional system.

The 2021 National election was held at the NUT Confrence Centre in Qua’an Pan Local Government Area of Plateau State at weekend had over 1000 delegates across the country with only 703 accredited voters participated in the exercise.

The election had Mr. Naankang Garba emerged as the new National President of the organization with 381 votes defeating his opponent Mr. Sylvanus Datong who pulled 101 votes. The office of the Vice President had Mr. Naanchin Paul who pulled a total of 243 votes and was declared Vice President I, as Mrs. Esther Dabagal who scored 206 votes was declared Vice President II respectively .

The office of the National Secretary of the body had Mr. Samuel Laguma who pulled a total of 359 votes to emerged winner against Mr. Gabriel Muduutdai who got a total of 120 votes. While the office of the Financial Secretary of the organization also had two aspirants, Mr. Titus Dakup from Abuja pulling a total of 312 votes to defeat his contender Mr. Elias Damuan who got 154 votes from the contest.

Inline with the guidelines of the election, on-opposed offices also had votes cast to authenticate their acceptance by delegates to served their people. Amongst are the office of National Treasurer with Mrs. Linda Dawam pulling 477 votes, the Publicity Secretary had Mr. Joseph Dasugun who got 435 votes, while that of the Legal Adviser had Barr. Philip Dashak pulling a total of 405 votes.

The office of the Internal-Auditor I had Mr. Enkat Longkwang with 397 votes, Mr. Damuan Longjan, Auditor II also pulled 397 respectively.

However, the following officers Hon. Morris Dadick and Mr. Longyil Thomas were elected as Ex-Officio of the body with 391 votes respectively out of the total votes of 703 cast at the national election, 491 votes were valid while
212 votes were recorded as invalid.

The election which was conducted under a peaceful atmosphere had the presence of Executive Chairman of Qua’an Pan Local Government Area Hon. Ernest Da’a through the Secretary of the Council Hon. Godenaan Dashe as well as various security agencies towards ensuring that the national exercise is hitch free.

Meanwhile, the 2021 Electoral Committee Chairman Mr. Cletus Datong commended the aspirants for conducting themselves in a very peaceful manner toward making their assignment stressed free.

He urged winners of the election to work together and reached out to their opponent in the spirit of brotherhood and the collective progress of Pan Nation.
