Wase Killings: Police Confirms Arrest Of 8, 12 Motorcycles Recover

Plateau State Police Command has confirmed the arrest eight (8) suspects and recovery of twelve (12) motorcycles by the joint operation of security personnel following the attack in Local Government Area.
You would recall that the unknown assailants invaded Pinau community of Wase Local Government Area, Plateau State where more than ten (10) persons where killed.
Our correspondent also gathered that some locals sustained various degree of injuries as a result of the attack.
In a press statement issued to Journalists by ASP Ubah Gabriel Ogaba, the spokesman of the Plateau State Police Command on Monday in Jos the state capital.
According to Ogaba, “the Plateau State Police Command On 12/12/2021 at about 1630hrs, received a distress call that yet to be identified gunmen invaded Pinau Village, Wase LGA of Plateau State. Unfortunately, killed nine persons while four persons were injured.
“Upon receipt of the report, a combined team of Policemen, STF and other sister agencies were mobilized and swiftly raced to the scene where eight(8) suspects were arrested and twelve (12) motorcycles recovered.”
He said investigation is ongoing as frantic effort is on to arrest other fleeing suspects.
Meanwhile, Security has been beefed up in that area to prevent escalation of violence.
