Plateau PDP Assembly Candidate Is Death — A Collosal Lost, Says Hassan

Barely 49 days to the 2023 general elections, the candidate contesting for Plateau State House of Assembly seat for Pengana State Constituency, under the platform of People’s Democratic party (PDP), Hon. Mathew Akawu has passed on to glory.
Our correspondent learned that the deceased joined his ancestors in the early hours of Friday morning after a protracted illness.
The chairman of PDP in Plateau State, Hon.Chris Hassan described the death of Mathew Akawu as colossal lost to the PDP family.
Hassan in a condolence message signed and issued to Journalists on Friday in Jos the State capital by his personal assistant on media and protocol, Kefas Sumdi said the passing away of Akawu is sudden and tragic.
According to him, “Akawu was very patriotic, a loyal and resourceful party man, who made immense contributions towards the stability, growth and success of the party in Pengana, Bassa and the State at large.
“Akawu death is a big blow to the PDP especially at this time his experience, commitment and sense of humility is needed to steer the party to victory in his constituency, Bassa and in an effort to rescue Plateau from the misrule of the All Progressive Congress”, he stated.
The Chairman commiserates with the Akawu’s family, friends and associates of the deceased, his supporters, the PDP family in Pengana, Bassa and the State Chapter, as he prayed for God to rest his soul and the souls of other departed faithfuls.
