Working Fingers Int’l Initiative, A Passionate Organization For Humanity

All fingers they say is not equal and life is never balanced. While some people can afford the luxury of life, others are struggling to have it, while it looks like a complete mirage to some others. It is because of all these intricacies of life that a passionate and humanitarian Non Governmental Organization,Working Fingers Int’l Initiative was set up, to give good living, hope and justice to the down trodden.
According to the Coordinator of the organization, Amb. Dr. Eris Jewo, the organization was borne out of the need to support and protect humanity, promote gender equity, fight sexual and gender based violence as well as protect the environment and give social security to the people. The organization was established since ………..and has come a long,way. Infact, going by the antecedents of the organization, it can be said to be part and parcel of the Suatainable Development Goals （SDG）as they are always in the fore front of achievimg vision 2030 for the SDG by organizing various capacity building workshops and programmes on sexual and gender based violence issues, climate change programmes, pro bono services and giving scholarship to some people.
Recently, tney had a planting tree programme to mark the world Environment Day, where they planted 200 trees round the metropolis. Also, they recently made an advocacy visit to HRM （AVM）Lucky Ochuko Ararile （Rtd, the Avwaike I, Ovie of Umiaghwa,Abraka Kingdom where they advocated for better living condition among girls and women and also canvassed for the elimination of sexual,and gender based violence in the community
Amb. Jewo, who also doubles as the Coordinator of the Association Against Child Sexual And Gender Based Violence Coalition of NGOs, said Working Fingers is in partnership with Delta State Ministry Of Women Affairs, Traditional Rulers and other International Organizations such as………… She asserted that the fight against Female Genital Mutilation,（FGM）and injustice meted out to widows is something they have been doing from time to time by going to communities where the odious act is still being practised and sensitizing the tradition rulers and the people on the dangers of the barbaric act adding that much progress has been achieved on that as virtually all the Traditional Rulers they visited has consented to the fact that FGM,and injustice to widows must be stopped
Finally, she said owing to the nature of their job, they will always need donors and philanthropist to help them out. She therefore called on charitable and humanitarian organizations as well as well meaning people to reach out to them in their office which is at
