ZAMFARA SECURITY: Farouq Commiserates With Govt, Parents Of Students Killed, Kidnapped In Agric College, Bakura

The Honourable Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, Sadiya Umar Farouq has Commiserates with the Governor of Zamfara State, Bello Muhammad Matwelle on the abduction of nineteen persons; fifteen students and four others leaving three dead at the Agricultural College Bakura, North West_ Zamfara State.
The Minister expressed this in a press statement condemning the attack, she prayed for the release of the abductees unhurt.
In the report, the school official’s statement says those taken, include fifteen male students and four other people. However two staff members and one of the kidnapped students escaped and returned to the school.
The report further stated that the students were kidnapped on Sunday night from the College after armed men opened fire and killed the school security guards.
As at the time of this incident, the Zamfara State Police Command is yet to make an official statement.
The Ministry boss, Hajia Farouq in a very strong term condemned the attack and sympathised with the families of the students and other victims. She also reassured the families of Federal Government commitment towards securing the freedom of the students and others. She sincerely prayed, they will all be released unhurt!
