2023:Jos Falls Agog As Group Woos 40 Million Supporters For Peter Obi

The city center of Jos, Plateau State has on Saturday witnessed a serious dreadlocks as the support groups of the presidential candidate of the Labour Party Peter Obi/ Yusuf Datti stage a “one million” solidarity rally in the state.

Our correspondent observed that the business and commercial activities in the capital city was grounded as a result of Obi/Datti supporters who came from all works of life, most especially the youths and women.

It was also gathered that the supporters converged early in the morning at Secretariat junction, All Airport junction, BuKuru express way, Langfield Resort as well as Rwang Pam Township stadium singing and dancing amidst presence huge security personnel.

However, the Coalition for Better and Brighter Nigeria (IBBN) comprising people from the North, South East, South West, South-South and North Central stormed Jos Tin City on Saturday at Rwang Pam Township Stadium with a resolve to vote for the presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi and his running mate Yusuf Datti-Baba Ahmed come 2023 general election.

The group led by Prophet Isa El-Buba the founder of IBBN and President Envagelical Bible Outreach Ministries international at the gathering, said they believed that power must change hand by shifting it from the north to the South noting that “enough is enough.”

He said that other candidates having trying to negotiate his stance against his support for Obi’s candidature. “I assure that no-body can buy my conscience and stand. “No politicians can rig elections themselves and their children. They use you (youths) as vulnerable tools. I am warning them to stay clear. My office is only open to Obi as President come 2023. No any other”.

He challenge the supporters to be pro-active because there is a lot of work to be done, adding that his family and himself decide to sacrifice their lives for the Obi journey to better the supporters future.

For him, the Middle Belt is standing for Obi and the people of Nigeria are not talking about Peter Obi as a candidate but they are tired of the happenings in Nigeria and they need a change.

He said that the electorates are in the majority of the country, adding that by God’s grace, they will take over the leadership in 2023.“We can no longer watch our children being slaughtered by militias imported into this country. We are going to devote our resources and time to ensure that we achieve this goal.

“We want to ensure that before November, we will recruit over 40million people for this course. At the federal level, I urge you all to vote Obi and you should not have any covenant with any political party.

“At the State level, vote any credible candidate irrespective of parties”, urging Obi’s supporters to avail themselves for training after that they shall be deployed to fight for Labour Party but without violence.

Similarly, former Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Plateau State, Dr. Haruna Dabin, told the gathering that it was time to talk because talk was cheap as 2023 was time for action.

Dabin said that Nigerians cannot continue to talk like that over and over again and expect a change, pointing out that they will not allow President Muhammadu Buhari to bring another Fulani man to succeed him after his tenure elapses in 2023.

He urged Nigerians not to agree to that awkward agreement and regard APC dead on arrival, saying they have to fight when there is no sign of victory.

“In 2023 we will fight and die because it is better that way. Election of 2023 is a do or die affair because you either win or lose.”
