NUJ 2023 Press Week To Feature Five Sports,as Registration Commences

The Nigeria Union Journalists NUJ, Bayelsa State Council holds its 2023 Press Week.
The Sports Committee of NUJ has announced Indoor Games lined up for the week.
The NUJ Sports Committee in a statement by the Chairman,Mr George Ameli and Secretary Doris Eniekeziemene,said this year’s Press Week will feature five indoor sports as part of efforts to engage media practitioners and contribute to the development of the state.
According to the statement the week will start on Monday 21st, 2023 August with an enlightenment walk from the Peace Park to the NUJ Press Centre,Azikoro by 7am followed by a light refreshment at same venue.
The statement notes that indoor games will commence on Tuesday the 22nd in five indoor sports which include Scrabble, Chess, Table Tennis, Draughts and Ludo by 10am at the NUJ Press Centre.The Games shall continue on Wednesday the 23rd.
The statement directs Interested participants (JOURNALIISTS) to contact Hananeel Jackson on 07062286901 to register for the stress free games while Thursday the 24th will see a Friendly Football Match between NUJ and Allstars International of Yenagoa at Samson Siasia Stadium by 4pm.
It further explains that the theme for this year’s NUJ Press week is “expanding media Knowledge for a better information for a better information management in the Niger Delta”
