Jubilations as Brigadier General Gusau Bags 2024 Outstanding Military Spokesperson Award
The Acting Director Defence Information, Brigadier General Tukur Gusau has clinched the outstanding Military Spokesperson Award organised by the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations ( NIPR) in collaboration with Image Merchants Promotions Limited ( IMPR).
While giving details of the award in Abuja, Captain (Nigerian Navy) Lurwanu Abdulkadir for Director Defence Information, disclosed that the National Spokespersons Awards 2024 which took place at the International Conference Centre, Abuja on Wednesday, 27 March 2024 is the highest honours to celebrate outstanding spokespersons who have demonstrated outstanding eloquence, integrity and effectiveness in their roles as spokespersons in corporate communications, politics, media and public affairs amongst others.
The award, he explained, was part of the National Spokespersons Summit which was held from 26- 27 March 2024 to change the narratives and reposition the nation’s reputation.
According to him, the award is aimed at acknowledging the work of awardees on a national platform by the NIPR and IMPR.
Captain Abdulkadir further explained that the event which had about 300 guests in attendance is the fourth edition with jury cutting across the academia and seasoned Public Relations practitioners, adding that is also an opportunity for practitioners to build and expand on existing network.
