Abia 2023: Dr Uchechukwu S.Ogah joins the race.

Nigeria Minister in President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration, Dr Sampson Uche Ogah of State Mines and steel development, last Friday the 29th of April, 2022 declared his intentions to contest for the forth coming 2023 governorship election in Abia state under the platform of All Progressive Congress APC.
Dr Ogah announced his ambition for the number one job in the state, at the APC Party Secretariat office, Azikwe road in Umuahia the Abia state capital.
He stated that he is in the race to offer a visionary and purposeful leadership for the people of Abia State.
He pointed out that he is going to focused on the transformation of the economy of the state with the creation of job for the Abians, through private sector driven initiatives.
He said “Nigeria is blessed with so many natural resources that if we harness them less emphasis will be placed in the oil sector and our country will not play a second fiddle in the world.
He said, he will bring his experience in the private and public sector, in order to bring valuable changes in the lives of Abia people.
Stating that, his adminstration will be anochered on faith in God and social transformation in governance which will transform the economic, agricultural, educational, security and health sector of the state.
Saying that, he is going to reinvent the dreams of our founding fathers of Abia where the rule of law shall thrive and we will reintroduce the agricultural revolution of the former Eastner region that made the economy of that region one of the fastest growing economy in world.
In his own remarks, when he was interacting with some Journalists, after the Minister’s declaration, the former state chairman of the party, Chief Donatus Nwankpa, who is also one of the founding fathers of the party in the state, described the minister, Dr Samson Uche Ogah, as a man who has consistently demonstrated his royalty to the party, still describing as man with a vision, who has what it takes to rule the State.
The former chairman of the party, promised that the party executives are going to assess all the governorship aspirants in the party, to make sure, that the best among them is chosen.
In his own reaction, the present state chairman of the party, honorable Acho Obioma, known as Chomen, appreciated the minister, Dr Samson Uche Ogah for to the State secretariat of the party, to make his intention known to the party. The State party current chairman, promised all the party aspirants, for a level play ground.
