Abia Soeaker, Engr Chinedu Orji praises on Ohobo Afaraukwu people over Projects…… Commended them of their Unity.

The Abia State House of Assembly speaker, Rt Hon Chinedum Orji, who was represented by a member of the house, Jerry Uzosike, yesterday described the Ohobo Okwulaga Afaraukwu people in Ibeku ancient kingdom of Umuahia North LGA in Abia State as a very enterprising, the people whose bond of unity has lead them, to achieve a lot for themselves.
The Speaker made this known yesterday, while commissioning the community’s renovated modern community town hall.
He commended the quality of the community hall, the Speaker who was the Special Guest of Honour said Ohobo people have proved that with unity, a lot can be achieved and advised them to keep it up. And made it clear that the Ohobo Okwulaga Afaraukwu, is made of people with the integrity and sincerity.
And promised to support the people of Ohobo Okwulaga Afaraukwu autonomous community, with some amount of money, which he will send to them in the coming week, to support them towards their projects.
In his remarks, the Chairman of Ohobo Okwulaga Afaraukwu, Chief Charles Chidiebere Offor, known as ochikaraibe thanked every body who came to witness the occasion for coming, and appreciated God almighty, for making things possible to them, and also thanks all sons and daughters of Ohobo Okwulaga Afaraukwu community for their supports. Stating that, when he became the chairman of Ohobo Okwulaga Afaraukwu community in 2018, he only saw the sum of N120, 000 in the purse, but when he started sighting things, they can do, to be getting money, things started working well for them.
The chairman used the occasion, to thank all guests present at the event for coming out in their numbers to support the community. He prayed God to bless them in their respective endeavours, and used the opportunity to reel out some of the achievements of his administration so far, including the completion of the community hall,
and promised to do more for his people.
Also speaking, Engr Godwin Ijebuonwu, the engineer, who handles the renovation of the community hall, told the journalists that, it took them only 6 months, to convert the hall, that was existing like a bungalow, to what it is now. And appreciated all those who contributed one way or the other, to see that, the the community hall project was completed.
Engr Ijebuonwu stated that, the chairman of the Ohobo Okwulaga Afaraukwu, who happened to be his personal friend and the same age grade, is a man of a good character, who can be trusted at any time, so because of his efforts and contributions, with that of Ohobo Okwulaga Afaraukwu people, and that was the reason why the project was completed on time.
Ijebuonwu said that, he was also happy that, the community hall will be yielding money to the community, as people will be coming to hire the hall for one event or the other. And advised the people to make sure that, the community hall is maintained.
In his own contribution, Chief Levi Ogbonna, the president general of Ohobo Okwulaga Afaraukwu autonomous community, who is the next person to Eze Ibeabuchi of Okwulaga Afaraukwu autonomous community and also the administrative head of Ibeku, said he was very happy, towards the commissioning of the hall, and thank God for being with them.
Highpoint of the occasion was the commissioning of the community hall with cutting of the tape by the Speakers representative, who was joined by dignitaries present.
Those present at the event, were the Eze of Okwulaga Afaraukwu autonomous community, Eze Edward Ibeabuchi, the Okwu 1 of Okwulaga Afaraukwu, other ndi-Eze’s, some politicians, some government officials, members of the press, some clergy’s, women, the youths and so on
