CBN Takes Awareness Campaign On New Naira Notes To Bauchi Emir’s Palace

The central bank of Nigeria in her commitment to ensure proper monetary policy in the country,took the ongoing awareness campaign on the redesigned bank notes to the Emir Of Bauchi Dr Lurwanu Suleiman Adamu,soliciting his support and royal blessings to ensure smooth conduct of the exercise.
Speaking at the event,the Director medical service Department of Bauchi Branch of the Apex Bank,Dr Abdulkadir Jibrin reiterated the importance of redesigned naira notes.
He noted that to ensure smooth operations of the exercise,the bank had appointed 10 super agents and over 1000 agents for the state,adding that sooner or later the old notes would have been evacuated.
In response to a complaint about scarcity of the new naira notes,he said that the commercial banks had began loading their automated Teller Machines as directed by the apex bank nationwide to make them available for easy economic growth,sustainability and quick economic stimulation in the country.
He mentioned that the bank insisted on the use of the machines to ensure that the new naira notes are readily available to the customers as against over the counter in the banking hall where there could be favoritism.
So,also in the continuation of the campaign the CBN team is expected to go round to all market places,and other geographical settlements with relevant key players in the society before the stipulated dateline 31st January,2023 as announced by the central bank Governor,Mr Godwin.
On his part,the Emir of Bauchi Dr Lurwanu Suleimanu Adamu,appreciated the CBN team for the historic visit during the conduct of the national exercise and commended the Federal government of Nigeria for the exercise,the monarch appealed to the CBN to ensure this newly introduced economic policy is not compromised,he added
