Coalition for Protection of Democratic Rights,NE Youths progressive Union kick against corruption

The coalition for protection of democratic rights in collaboration with North east youths progressive union has called on the authorities to make sure the electoral victory of kano state governor Abba Yusuf,has been re-affirmed at both appeal and supreme courts judgements,this will be a good sign of democratic governance,justice and corrupt free system in Nigeria society.
The group made this known during a joint press conference via Ambassador Adamu jikan Manu on be behalf of the network
Everyone knows that Governor Abba has won his election in 2023 with landslide victory across kano state against his closest opponent Dr Gawuna of APC.
Uphelding his election is a victory of democracy,peace and good governance across Nigeria.
The group noted that “We are telling Nigerians that our country will become an example if Abba Kabir Yusuf is confirmed as the Governor of Kano State
The statement went further and confirmed that the election law experts, civil society organizations, those who observe the election process are all surprised at how the election hearing court ruled on the Kano State Governorship election.
The statement equally pointed out that It is obvious that Governor AKY is the one who was elected by the people of Kano State, he is the one who got the majority votes which the electoral commission INEC announced him as the one who won the election.
The group call with a loud voice to the President’s Palace, the ECOWAS Secretariat Abuja, the National Judiciary Commission and the Independent Electoral Commission (INEC), to ensure that justice is done to the people of Kano State, and the court of appeal to withdraw the annulment of the votes of more than 165k as fake votes and recognized them as valid votes as stated in Article 63, subsection 62 of the electoral law as 2022.
The group commend the Court of Appeal which decided to go back to Abuja to hold a trial, which shows that the Court of Appeal should be fair and work according to the law.
The network noted that by saying Of course, we are patriots, we believe that the confirmation of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf will be good and ensure peace and protect the interests of the community in Kano State.
We are calling on foreign countries, legal experts, civil society organizations, to keep an eye on the Kano State Gubernatorial election and to ensure 165k votes is valid votes not fake
The network are fully satisfied with the judiciary, especially the Court of Appeal, that they will judge according to the law and protect the dignity of our country Nigeria in the eyes of the world.
The group frown at supporting,oppression and sectarian or religious politics and condemn corrupt politicians.
