Ex- Abia Governor, Senator Orji arrested at Abuja airport, Thursday
How Senator T A Orji was allegedly arrested and stopped from travelling outisde the country Thursday, by the EFCC.
The fresh facts, that emerged on a report making the rounds in the state that the former Governor of the State, Senator T.A. Orji was arrested and detained by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) alongside with his son, Engr Chinedum Enyinnaya Orji, who made all his money from the state purse, without working for it.
A reliable source just confirmed to our century news update correspondent in the state, that the federal lawmaker and his son were arrested and detained for a while.
Some security operative who were privy to what happened told some journalists in Abia state, that the former Governor, who was on his way out of the country for vacation was merely reminded by EFCC operatives at the airport that his name, and that of his son Chinedu Orji were still on their “No Flight” list, and was therefore requested to return home.
An Abia State government official who was also familiar with the incident corroborated the security operatives narration and informed some journalists in the state, that “Senator T.A. Orji and his son had been placed on a ‘No Travel’ list by the the former EFCC boss Magu.
Since then, the former Governor, Senator T A Orji had not traveled only for him to have want to travel that day, but was told by the EFCC that he could not travel outside the country without first of all getting clearance from the Commission.
“And was asked to returne home with his son, Chinedum Orji who happened the house of Assembly speaker, who came over to join him on hearing about the incident”
