Insecurity In Nigeria A Dangerous Situation – Defence Minister

Defence Minister Maj. Gen. Salih Magash (rtd) has warned that Nigeria is in a dangerous situation from the hands of terrorists, bandits, and kidnappers.

He said this on Monday at a National Defence, And Security Summit organized by the Defence Headquarters in Abuja.

We are in a critical situation that requires the understanding by support, and collaboration of important stakeholders, and key players in this strategic option, and national task.. This is important to minimise destructions, and maximise civil support in order to facilitate operational success, and mission outcome – Magash said.

He went further to say that the summit is coming at a pathetic time in the nations history, and at a period when violence, and mayhem is threatening to tear down the very foundation of our nation stating that physical insecurity is linked to political insecurity, economic underdevelopment, and social inequalities.
