Kaduna State Government confirms the kidnap of Students/Staff of Federal College of Forestry Mechanization
According to the Commissioner for Internal Security, and Social Affairs who confirmed this on March 12th 2021 that the incident happened on Thursday night at about 11.30 pm, and the armed bandits went away with 30 students.
He further stated that 180 students were rescued by the Troops of the Nigeria Army, 42, female students, 130 male students, and 8 staff. Remaining 30 to be found. He confirmed that the bandits were in a large number, broke into the Institution by breaching a perimeter fence, 600 meters to attack the first facility.
Having heard that, by the Ministry receiving a distress call, quickly signalled the 1 Division of the Nigeria Army, and the Air Training Command of the Nigeria Air Force who immediately sewing into action by moving to the school, and engaged the arm bandits.
Some of the rescued Students who sustained injuries are presently receiving medical attention at Military Facility.
The Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai thanked the Troops for their swift response, he wishes the injured quick recovery.
