A group under the auspices of All Progressive Congress, APC Plateau Southern Compatriot has raised alarm over alleged plot to make Senator Nora Daduut president Ahmed Bola Tinubu ministerial nominee from Plateau without adequate consultation of the party in the state.

The group said Senator Daduut’s democratic expedition within her two and half year in the 9th Senate was marred by incompetency.

Leader of the group Nanmang Danladi while addressing newsmen on Wednesday in Jos the state capital urged President Tinubu, the national and state leadership of APC to rally support around former governor of Plateau Simon Lalong.

According to the group, “Daduut lacks a roadmap for national politics and has failed to attract the dividends of democracy necessary for the state’s development.”

They criticized her for not delivering her ward/local government area for the party in the 2023 General Elections, as well as for her alleged failure to support party campaigns and activities.

The group expressed concerns about the senator’s husband, noting his past association with the opposition party on the Plateau, stating that he had held political meetings with the former Governor of the state, Jonah David Jang, prior to the recent elections.

The group claimed that she exhibited a “use and dump” mentality, neglecting those who supported her during her campaigns.

In light of the current challenges facing Nigeria, the group stressed the need for selfless, experienced, and patriotic individuals to support President Tinubu’s vision, “Senator Daduut did not possess the required attributes.”
