Plateau Head Of Service, Hyat Assures Synergy, Welfare package For Workers

Plateau State head of civil service, Engr. Sunday Hyat has assured a continue mutual understanding between the Government and organized labour in the state.
He said the renumeration and welfare package of workers which enhance a better working condition remains the top most priority of Government.
Hyat gave the assurance in his office at J.D. Gomwalk Secretariat, Jos the state capital when the National Internal Auditor of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Comrade Ladi Emmanuel led other members of the union for a familiarization visit recently.
He acknowledged that the election of Ladi as National Internal Auditor of NUJ is a plus to Plateau State and Nigeria as a whole looking her track records of competence and capability.
He said no Government or society develop without the role of media, as such our doors is always open for partnership with Journalists to continue providing more dividends of democracy to the people.
He wished Ladi Emmanuel a successful tenure in office as she takes responsibility of her new office.
Meanwhile, the Internal Auditor of NUJ, Comrade Ladi Emmanuel opines that the aim of the visit was to appreciate the head of service, Engr. Sunday Hyat over the good work he has been doing to better the living condition of civil servants in the state. And to also seek for more partnership and collaboration between his office and NUJ.
She raised concern over some grey areas which she need the intervention of the head of service this includes; defined role in line with civil service Act, most especially between administrative officers and information officers of State ministries and parastatals.
The need to address some allowances for Plateau State information staff and Plateau Publishing Company( PPC) Staff that are NUJ Members which is yet to be approved while that of Plateau Radio Television Corporation (PRTVC) was since considered .
However, the head of service said the management will sit down look at the issues squarely for effective service delivery.
