*Subsidy Removal: Dekor commends Tinubu on palliatives measures

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has been commended for the courage to removed the subsidy.
In a media chart with house correspondent on Tuesday, the lawmaker representing Khana/Gokana Federal Constituency of Rivers State in the National Assembly, Rt. Hon. Dumnamene Robinson Dekor, who has been re-elected into the House of Representatives said the previous subsidy benefited the few group of people and neighboring countries.
He said: “As you can now see and hear, they’re even crying more. I believe by this removal, given it a little time things will change for the better.
“I’m happy the petroleum subsidy is gone the pains/anguish is so severe on everybody but it’ll soon be over, I’m appealing that the federal government will take a drastic steps to improve on the palliative they’re talking about to ameliorate the suffering of Nigerians urgently.”
He concluded by saying that the case of subsidy removal to him by the presence administration, is a tombs up because it’ll in the long run provide better life for Nigerians”.
Rt Hon Dekor while asked on the security situation of his constituency replied that the two local governments of Khana/kogana are very large and prominent area councils in the country particularly in Rivers State.
They have 36 wards, 319 voting units and have spreads well over 150 autonomous communities.
The Host community house committee chairman reiterated inspite the high level of insecurity everywhere in the country, the two local government chairmen efforts in complementing the Rivers State governor, His Excellency Sir Siminalayi Fubara in making sure that the constituency is as safe and secure are very commendable.
He humbly admitted that based on the size of the constituency their, political representatives impact on the communities are not enough and therefore reassured the people of robust representations in the 10th assembly.
“Our main focus now, Dekor emphasized should be on development in the area of capital projects development, human empowerment and social investment drives that the citizens need not to be dependent on government for their survival.
“In the last administration we lost so much in economy, while he appreciate the move by the president to resolved the trade ban on Nigeria by UAE in his recent travelings.
“With all due respect, in the last administration we lost so much in terms of economic gains, and now within the few trips of Mr president he is trying to bring good will to the country, I’m not talking politics, despite being a PDP member, we should learn to see right political moves and apparently not shy away from commending such “.
