Troops Repel Boko Haram Surge

According to Brig. Gen. M.M Yerima who said, the Operation Lafiya Dole Troops have successfuly repelled an attack on Dikwa Town by the Boko Haram Terrorist Group, and Islamic State Of West Africa Province.

The terrorist group were overwhelmed by the heavy artillery, and ammunitions of the 81 Task Force Battalion, 112 Task Force Battalion Ajiri, and 402 Special Forces Brigade with maximum air suoport by the Operation Lafiya Dole Air Task Forcce.

At the end of the attack, the terrorist group suffered heavy casualties, with some of their trucks, and ammunitions destroyed.

Meanwhile, the Chief Of Arny Staff, Maj. Gen. Ibrahim Attahiru has commended the troops for their resilience, and doggedness in the fight against insurgency, and urge Nigerians, especially citizens of Borno State, to disregard all form of malicious rumour in the social media, and advise them to go about their normal business.
