Wamakko Supervises the Wedding Fatiha Of Late Magajin Gari’s Daughter
The leader and father of the modern Sokoto State, Distinguished Senator, Alhaji Dr Aliyu Wamakko was delighted to oversee the successful union between Hauwa’u Hassan Dan Baba and Sanusi Sulaiman Tambuwal in accordance with the tradition of payment of the One Hundred Thousand Naira as dowry in Sokoto State.
The former governor’s roles of presiding over the wedding has drawn great dignity from all walks of live from within and outside the state in their thousands of friends and well wishers who converged at sultan Bello Jumu’at Mosque to witness the wedding Fatiha of the Daughter of late Magajin Garin Sokoto Alh Hassan Marafa Dan Baba.
The marriage was contracted between Hauwa’u Hassan Dan Baba and Sanusi Sulaiman Tambuwal after the payment of One Hundred Thousand Naira as dowry.
According to SA media to Sen Wamakko, Bashar Abubakar reported that the Rtd General Aliyu Gusau gave Hauwa’u’s Hand in marriage to the Representative of her Husband Former Governor of Jigawa state Alh. Saminu Ibrahim Turaki.
Chief Imam of sultan Bello Jumu’at Mosque, Sheikh Malami Muhammad Akwara Solemnized the marriage while three Islamic scholars offered prayers.
The Imams are that of Shehu Jumu’at Mosque Imam Abubakar Shehu Na Liman, Mallam Bashir Gidan Kanawa and the Imam of Alu Magatakarda Jumu’at Mosque Kofar Kware Sheikh Abdul’aziz Ahmad Kofar Rini.
Many dignitaries, traditional title holders, politicians, Ulamas, Imams, Business Associates among others graced the wedding.
