The Africa Democratic Congress (ADC) In Abia State, Must Ensure Fairness And Equity In Selecting All The Party Aspirants For The 2023 General Election. By Benjamin Kalu, Umuahia

The Chairman of the Africa Democratic Congress in Abia State, Drums Support, for All the candidates of the party, come 2023 General Election in the State.

Speaking with some Journalists during a press conference at the Party State secretariat in Umuahia the state capital. The chairman of Africa Democratic Congress, Don Norman Obinna said, the primary election of all the party aspirants will hold this week in the state, at non yet disclosed venue. and it will be done with transparency. Accoding to him,
“We must ensure fairness, equity in selecting all the party aspirants for the 2023 general election, he said”

He further noted that “if you claim to be a political party and you are unable to conduct a credible in house election, were trusted candidates must field for the party, as people’s choice. Certainly, your party is lacking, and don’t have such credibility to produce trusted candidates.

The chairman stated that
ADC is a party structured to serve the people and that the people deserve the best.
To him,” it is a party with no God father and this will enable our members who are elected into elective Positions to serve the people and also give in their best with out fear or favour”.

Don Norman Obinna further disclosed that the ADC Party, will never welcome any aggreved members from other political parties for one reason or another to the Party, noting that ADC is a party that always follow a due process.

He went further to explain that ADC is a party for Ndi Abia, a party were the people interest is discussed and that the party have carefully selected their aspirants, through fairness and equity, and all of them, are going to run, for the House of Assembly, House of Representatives, Senate and that of Governorship. The Chairman went further to mentioned the name of some aspirants, like Bishop Dr Sunday Onuoha, who is the party Governorship aspirant, Mr Otisi Ebitu Ukiwe for Senate, Hon.john Abraham Godson and Mr Franklin Ikenna Nwaubani, and so many other aspirants, stating that, all the ADC candidates are trusted, and that, they will take the state to next level.

He therefore urge those Abians who are yet to get their PVC to do so now, as that will enable them, play their part, by voting inn all the trusted ADC candidates in the State. saying that, it is in the hands of Abian’s to select and elect their leaders, come 2023 general election.

Don Norman Obinna, who is a journalist by profession, said that he left journalism to politics, to enable him, start rendering a good quality service to the people. And also to eliminate money politics, through embarking on aggressive reorientation to produce an oriented leaders.

He used the opportunity to announced that the party, will conduct all their primaries this week. That the party has already showcase all their aspirants to the entire world, for the people to understand, that the party does not assemble people who were rejected from their former parties. Africa Democratic Congress (ADC) can gathered only the approved members with same idea logy, as that will help Abians know the stock, Africa Democratic Congress have, to move the state forward.

Assuring that the party ADC will change the directive of the bad leadership. Stating that the objective is simply. For you to offer a good leadership, you must prepared for it. The Abians have the right to know those the party have presented to govern them.

Describing the ADC logo as a hand shake Representative, means togetherness, oneness, friendship, so for that, those people that were rejected from their former parties can not come to ADC, because we will reject them. Our Party is not gathering of those who are disenfranchised and aggrieved.

Stating that ADC is in Abia State, to make Abians experience and feel good good governance. The chairman painfully told the journalists that workers in the state are not paid, not to talk of their allowances, Pensioners are not paid for over 15yrs now.

Informing the press that, the State PDP government, received about 2.8 trillion in revenue system, 1999 till date, that within this period the state internal and external jet has increased to 128. 8 billion naira, this mean that the people, we entrusted powers in the state are criminals.

Revealing the aim Africa Democratic Congress in state, the Chairman stated that the party will make Abia State Government a competitive one, assuring that, next year election will, unlike the past, he advised the Abians to come out in-mass and cast their votes during next year election, our votes will count this time around.

Don Norman, also said that Abia Chatter of Equity was a 1991 proposal, that it was not signed into law. Only some people were using it for their own selfish interest. He assured the Abians that ADC is a Party where genuinely persons can come and actualize his or her political interest on a short term.
