People Of Isiala-Ngwa Visit their Son Prof Uche Ikonne

The people of Isalangwa North Local Government Area, last Tuesday, troops out in their numbers to pay a solidarity visit to one their sons Prof. Uchechukwu Elezier Ikonne who recently won the PDP governorship primaries in the state.

The visit attracted some PDP stakeholders in the state, including some important personalities, and many indigens of Isalangwa North LGA, who came out in their numbers to facilitate with Professor Ikonne for winning the PDP governorship primaries in the state.

Expressing their happiness last Tuesday, some of the sons and daughters of Isiala-Ngwa North Local Government Area, that find out time to speak with some group of Journalists last Tuesday, expressed their happiness, over the chosen of Professor Uchechukwu Elezier Ikonne by the People Democratic party (PDP) in the state as their Governorship candidate.

Expressing their views last Tuesday, the people said that, now that the Governorship is coming to Isiala-Ngwa North, the State chatter of equity will now balance, appreciating Okezie Ikpeazu, for shifting the Governorship to them. There by referring their son Prof Uche Ikonne as an incoming governor of the state.

Speaking with Nwabugo Ephraim, the councilor representing Ngwaukwu ward4 in the area, said the people of Isala -ngwa north especially his ward, is very happy for the emergence of Uche Ikeonna as a PDP Governorship Candidate in the state, promising that, they will give him their vote come 2023 governorship election, noting that, it is a dream come true.

He therefore appreciate the State Governor, Dr okezie Ikpeazu for choosing Ikonne to complete The tenure for Aba Zone.

Also adding her voice, Hon princess Eucharia Enweremadu who is the councilor representing ward5 said that Governor okezie Ikpeazu made the right choice by chosen Prof Uche Ikonne to be his successor.
According to her Prof Ikonne is a renowned Academician who have served the state in different capacity and have left no stone unturned, especially in the area of academic and believed that he will continue from where Ikpeazu stop, in taking the state to the next level, and to greater height.

In his own reaction Dr Nnamdi Nwaeze, who is the national coordinator Abia Academic for Prof.Ikonne, congratulate him for coming victorious in the just concluded PDP Governorship primary election in the state.

Nwaeze described the emergence of Professor Ikonne, as a dream come true, thanking Okezie Ikpeazu for chosen somebody from Isalangwa North to succeed him when he leaves office in 2023. According to him,this will bring equity to the state.He therefore urged the people of Isiala Ngwa North, to go and get their permanent voters card PVC, to enable them, come out in-mass and vote for Prof Uche Ikonne come 2023 governorship election in the state.

In his own contribution, Dr Linus Ogbokiri, a retired permanent secretary in the state, the immediate past chairman governoring council college of health science and technology Aba, expressed his gratitude to God for making their brother a winner of the PDP goverorship primaries in the state.

Sir Ogbokiri stated that, there will be no doubt that prof ikonne will perform well as the Governor of the state when elected in 2023, saying that, he has a clear record in his past offices, 1.as the former vice Chancellor of Abia State University uturu and Formal Rector Abia polytechnic Aba, where he performed marvelously, saying that he will do well as the governor of the state, if elected in 2023 general election.

In his own remark, Elder Sam Ezindu, who is the Isiala-Ngwa North Local Government Chairman of the PDP, told the journalists that, they decided to gathered and acknowledged, also commend their own brother and son, Prof Ikonne for emerging the state PDP governorship candidate, after the party primaries last week. for 2023 general election.

Elder Ezindu, used the opportunity to advised their brothers in Abia North who are still agitating, that, it is their turn to produce next governor of the state, to relax and exercise patience for them, to complete the 16years the old Bende people did, that after this remaining 8yrs, the opportunity of producing the next governor, will still come back to their zone.

Contributing, Barr Charles Enyinnaya Adighi, the Chairman of Agburuezekwu solidarity for Ikonne, the PDP ward 3 chairman, in Isiala-ngwa north, Hon Fineman Adiele, Hon Regina Emenaogu, Navy Commander Thankgod Ikechukwu and others, in their separate speeches called on the Abia people to support Prof Uche Ikeonna in 2023 general election in the state.
