By Daniel Agada, Jos
The Chairman House of Representatives Committee on Navy in the National Assembly Abuja, Hon. Yusuf Adamu Gagdi has vow that the main opposition party PDP and Labour Party will not in anyway unseat the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) in Plateau State and the country at large.
He cautioned citizens of Plateau State and the country not to be deceive by the opposition parties using religion or ethnicity ahead of the 2023 general elections; adding that the ruling APC has over the year implemented programmes that has direct impact on the lives of common Nigeria and not the elite.
Gagdi stated this while addressing youths of Mupun Nation at a Town Hall meeting held at M.M Event Center in Abwor Dyis, Pankshin Local Government Area of Plateau State.
According to him, “a true leader will not drive politics of religion or tribalism, Religion is between man and God his maker, not a tool for leader to used and be dividing people.
“I don’t support failure, and that is why I will be the first person to congratulate Dr. Nentawe Yilwatda for the endorsement of the Mupun people as the representative of the people whom I can speak on their behalf.
“We shouldn’t be deceived not to vote for APC; whoever loves the Mupun Nation let us see the evidence of what they have done. I have constructed hospital, town hall, dogged boreholes in all the pulling unites, I built a befitting Secretariat for the Cultural organization of the Mupun Nation, I gave employment to 30 youths of Mupun extraction alone! Is there any love more than this?”
He called on them to work hard for the APC and it’s candidates come 2023 most importantly the Governorship candidate. “I beg you today to vote for him (Nentawe) and leave me, I have no problem with that! Because what a Governor can do, a House of Representative Member can not do quarter of it. After February 2023 you will know the reason why you voted for Nentawe.”
He vow that the ruling APC in the country can not be defeated by either the Labour party that acclaimed being a third force nor the main opposition party PDP in 2023. “Labour Party will not in anyway defeat APC in Nigeria, I swear to you.
“PDP can not be able to defeat us, they can’t I tell you this. With the Director General (DG) of the APC in Plateau State? If they (PDP) start, we will start, if they climb drum we will equally climb drum, if he (PDP Campaign DG) speaks, we will also speak for the people of Plateau State to know the truth,” he so posited.
