Residents vacate Orlu, Okigwe Over heavy Security presence

Residents in Orlu and Okigwe have relocated to Owerri and other neighboring states over heavy security presence which include the Army, Police, DSS, and illegally dreaded and bloodthirsty Imo State vigilante group popularly called the “Ebubeagu”
Chief Sam Oparaeke one of the residents who relocated to Owerri, Imo state, told journalists that since after the February 25 2023 Presidential Election, there have been heavy Security Operatives
patrolling at Ihube and other Communities in Okigwe local Government Area of Imo State “telling us to wait for them on Saturday March 18, 2023 slated for Gubernatorial and States House Assembly elections across the nation.
He accused the Security Operative for collaborating with Imo State Government to rig the Presidential and National Assembly Election held in February 25,2023 in favour of Alhaji Bola Tinubu where election result were announce where election were not held
In the same vein,Oparaeke reiterated that the unknown gun men suspected to be “Ebubeagu)has set the resident of PDP Imo state House of Assembly contestant Mr Ifeany Ozoemena on fire in a broad daylight at Okigwe Imo State.
Similarly Department of State Services (DSS) has arrested the former Deputy Governor of Imo State Engr.Gerald Ironna over allegation of stolen Public properties.
Engr.Ironna who is one of the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) heavy weight in Imo State said that he is going to challenge his arrest by Imo State Government in Court of Competent Jurisdiction.
