Ag IGP Kayode, Assures Officers Payment Of Arear, Salaries Before June Ends

The Ag Inspector General of Police, IGP Kayode Egbetokun, has officially on Wednesday assumed office in Abuja and declared he will ensured officers welfares top priority. He stated this shortly after taking over from Usman Baba Alkali, the immediate past IGP.
Ag IGP, in his respond to questions at the event assured officers serving and retired Police personnel their welfare will be his top agenda.
The new police boss, explained that all outstanding salaries and allowances of serving and retired Police personnel would be paid before the end of June 2023.
IGP Egbetokun also emphasized on the effectiveness of security of lives and properties in Nigerian under his watch.
He clarified what he meant during his decorations by Vice President Kashim Shetima in the state house previously when he said, “I feel like Tiger inside of me ready to chase away all the criminals in Nigeria’. And some other time, “I feel like a lion inside me ready to devour all the internal enemies of Nigeria” to mean how very prepared he is for the job of defending the lives and properties in country.
He however, reiterated that the police force is prepared and is soliciting the cooperation of the general public in fulfilling his responsibilities as the Inspector General of Police.
Earlier, the outgone IGP, Usman Alkali Baba, while delivery his handover speech, called on all he might have offended in the course of his assignments as IGP to forgive him.
