Bishop urges Security Operatives to stop extra judicial killing in Nigeria

The Archbishop of Owerri Archdiocese His Grace Most Rev. Dr Lucius Ugorji has urged Security Operatives to Stop extra judicial killing in Nigeria so as to avoid its catastrophic consequences
Speaking with journalists in Owerri after concelebrated Mass at the Cathedral recently he revealed that nature forbid killing that is why God instructed or commanded us in the Book of Exodus that we should not kill adding that this is the right time of our Security Operatives in Nigeria to refocused on Fundamental Human Right of the people of this country and stop extra judicial killing.
He emphasised that more over, extra judicial killing depict element of primitivity or savagery that portray Nigeria as inferior lawless nation that revolve on catastrophic consequences of retributive justice which can come inform of natural disaster.
“There is no day that passes without the sad news of people killed extra judicially by our Security Operatives, Agencies that are made to protect the people have turned to massacre them on daily basis , it is very unfortunate”
Ugorji further highlighted that our security Operatives have hide under unidentified Gunmen and Bandit to breach the Fundamental Human Right of the people of this Country which ran contrary to the expectation of all and sundry.
He therefore called other religious denominations, nongovernmental organization, Traditional Rulers, True Democrats, Individuals and groups to condemn the extra judicial killing of our Security Operatives and express solidarity with the victims it had generated.
