The executive Chairman of Kanam LGA of Plateau state, Hon. Dr Dayyabu Yusuf Garga; the immediate past National Chairman of National Association of Road Transport Owners(NARTO), Alhaji Dr Kassim Ibrahim Bataiya;the National Chairman of Petroleum Tankers’ Drivers, PTD, branch of NUPENG, Dr.Salimon Akani Oladiti are all the honorary doctorate awardees of Prowess University, Delaware, USA.

All the three distinguished Nigerian unionists and philanthropists in addition for being super administrators in their leadership positions, will also be inducted as fellow of International Institute of Strategies Development during the ceremony while the President and CEO of Coscharis Group ,Dr Cosmos Maduka who has remained a proud industrialist in Africa will also be inducted as fellow of International Institute of Strategies Development in recognition for his exceptional business acumen in the manufacturing sector.

In this year’s edition of the Leadtimes Africa Strategic Leadership Summit on Good Governance in African Leadership, few outstanding Nigerians in various leadership positions are to be honoured by Prowess University, Deleware, USA, while others will be inducted as fellow of International Institute of Strategies Development and Fellow of Chartered Institute of Arts Professional (FCIAP), USA.

Other notable Nigerians listed for Prowess Honorary doctorate degree award include Chief Dr. Lambert Eradiri, chairman of Niger Bay Pharmacy and his wife, Dame Dr Mrs Eunice Tamunodukoye Eradiri who will honoured with Doctor of Science and Doctor of Education respectively. Others are Engr Wada Mohammed Yahaya,managing Director and CEO of Nasarawa State Urban Development Board and Ibrahim Baba Saleh of Kaduna state.

The program which is expected to hold next weekend at the University of Lagos will attract participants from all walks of life including captains of industry, professionals, philanthropists, credible politicians, law makers, religious leaders and traditional rulers.

According to a recent press statement credited to Professor Buba S. Mshelia, Advisory Board Chairman of Leadtimes Africa Magazine,” this program is well designed to recognise individual Nigerians who have made their marks in their chosen professional careers.

“we painstakingly selected all the categories of awardees based on merit and recommendations made on each of them by their constituents; these people by our research work on them have proved that they deserve this global honour and recognition by Prowess University, Chartered institute of Arts Professional and International Institute of Strategies Development (IISD)”.

Prominent among the fellowship inductees include Hon. Dr Funmilayo Akande Mohammed, the executive chairman of Apapa -Iganmu, and Hon.Dr.Ahmed Olarenwaju Apatira, council Chairman of Ikire /Ikate LCDA,Lagos state.

These council chairmen are touching lives at the grassroots which is why they are considered for this honour by this international institute for Strategies Development.

The Managing Director and CEO of DAUDEX GROUP OF COMPANIES, JOS will bag the Leadtimes Africa Businessman of the year Award from North Central and will also be inducted as fellow of International institute of Strategies Development during the ceremony.

Other nominees include the ESU of KARU, His Royal Highness Pharm Luka Panya Baba who will bag honorary doctorate award as well as Bishop Dr Curtis Victor Kwaku Fianu of the Church of God Mission International Inc.,Warri, Delta State.Barr.Dr Alex Akunebu will be inducted as fellow of Chartered Institute of Arts Professional (FCIAP)USA at the occasion,among others.

The theme of this year’s summit is titled: Building a Strategic Leadership For Good governance in African Leadership-A New Perspective for Sustainable growth and Development in Nigeria to be delivered by Professor Basil C. Nwankwo of Kogi State University.
