A member representing the good people of Ughelli North Constituency 2, Hon. Obokpare Spencer Ohwofa has solicited for the patience of his people as he is saddled with quality representation of his Constituency, and called on the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, being the majority party and the state governor to consider uppermost, the over all interest of Delta state.
This is sequel to the inauguration of the 8th House of Assembly, in Asaba, the State capital.
Hon Spencer Ohwofa in interview with journalists after his inauguration at a sumptuous and lavish reception held in his honour at Ohoror community in Uwheru in Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta state, said the interest of Delta state should be paramount.
“I expect support from the entire Constituency 2, and of course, reasonable advise from my people as well as supplications, because I am here prepared to serve them.
“My people should be patient in whatever we will be doing, even though as a minority platform , the state governor and PDP the majority party should take into cognizance the interest of Delta state first and the governor should allow the House of Assembly to be truly independent to be able to deliver the dividends of democracy to our people.
The country home of an APC Chieftain, Simeon Ohwofa , at Ohoror community in Uwheru Kingdom in Ughelli North Local Government Area was a beehive of activities as the who is who in Uwheru and entire Ughelli North Constituency 2 gathered in a carnival like to celebrate and rejoice the inauguration of the member representing Ughelli North Constituency 2, Hon Obokpare Spencer Ohwofa.
Hon. Ohwofa who was highly elated thanked God for making the day successful and also thanked his party members and his constituents saying,
“first, I want to thank God and give him all the glory for the success of the inauguration and also at the reception ground here in my father’s compound at Ohoror community. After this, I want to commend all the efforts of the APC in the entire constituency. They made today be a day of celebration, even right from the time of the elections. I’m very proud of all the APC members in all the electoral wards in the constituency. In the same way, I want to also thank all my constituents. Without them, the success story is not complete. Finally, let me express my heartfelt appreciations to my lovely father, Chief Simeon Ohwofa. He’s a father indeed. He really encouraged and supported me greatly in this political race. I can’t thank him enough for all his contributions. And to all the members of my family and community and my invited guests, I say thank you!”
Speaking further, Hon. Ohwofa promised his constituents greater changes in terms of constituency projects, agriculture, health services, education and other dividends of democracy as well as quality representation in his tenure as a member of the Delta state House of Assembly. He equally solicited for the support and help of his constituents by advising him on important areas of attention in the constituency and also present him with reliable and useful information at all times.
Also speaking during the interactive session was Chief Simeon Ohwofa, an. APC chieftain, guardian and father to Hon. Bar. Spencer Ohwofa who advised his son, Hon. Ohwofa to always be prudent, accountable and truthful to his constituents throughout his tenure as a member of the honourable house. Hear him:
“God has made today a great day for all of us to rejoice and be glad in it especially those of us from Uwheru kingdom. My son is now an honourable member of the Delta state House of Assembly. This is a dream well realized by the Ohwofa family. I know Hon. Ohwofa is very competent to deliver the dividends of democracy to the members of the constituency because he’s a trained and practising lawyer who has been called to the Bar over a decade now. So I’m very proud of him to raise productive bills and motions in the house. With the support of other members of the house, I strongly believe that this 8th assembly will do better than the past ones. No doubt, a tree can’t make a forest. My son is there today because of the support and votes of the members of the constituency. I thank them all. In the same way, I want to express my gratitude to the members of the Delta state APC. As a founding member of the party, my members have really shown me great love and honour for electing my son into the Delta state House of Assembly. I’m indeed grateful to them all” He said.
