Ex Comptroller of Customs Commends Tinubu over Akume, Gbajabiamila, Ribadu Appointments

 A former Comptroller of Nigeria Customs Service and All Progressive Congress, APC, governorship aspirant in Plateau state, David Victor Dimka,   has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the appointment of former Governor of Benue state Senator George Akume as Secretary to the Government of the Federation. 

Dimka also eulogized President Tinubu for appointing Speaker House of Representatives Rt.Hon. Femi  Gbajabiamila as Chief of Staff as well as former chairman Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Nuhu Ribadu  as National Security Adviser, (NSA).

The former Customs boss in an interview in Jos the state capital, said with these key principal appointments, President Tinubu’s administration  has  hit the ground running.

He posited that the  appointment of George Akume as SGF from Benue state in North Central geo political zone should be appreciated by his kinsmen, the people of Benue state and and Nigeria as a whole.

“This appointments by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is putting the right peg in the right hole.

“He made the right choice, considering  the pedigree of Senator George Akume as an astitute administrator who rose through the ranks to become permanent secretary  Government House in Benue state.

“Akume later in life rose to become Governor of Benue state and Senator of the federal Republic and Minister Of Special duty under the immediate past administration   of president Mohammadu Buhari”, he mentioned.

Dimka also described speaker of the 9th National Assembly, Femi Gbajabiamila as the right man for the job of Chief of staff to President Tinubu.

“Gbajabiamila has made his mark at National Assembly having held the position of House leader at House of Representatives in 2015 till 2019 and eventually got the seat of speakership.

“He would by the grace of God perform credibly well in directing the affairs in the office of President Tinubu.”

Dimka also added that the appointment of Nuhu  Ribadu as National Security Adviser (NSA) was done on merit by Mr Tinubu.

According to him, Ribadu days in EFCC  bears him testimony that if given the right job, he would perform wonderfully well in this new assignment.
