Eze Onwuka advises Governorship candidate Engr Enyinnaya Nwafor of YPP not to play politics of bitterness

The traditional Ruler of Umutowe autonomous community, in Olokoro clan, in Umuahia South L.G.A, Eze Godfrey Onwuka have advised our politicians in the state and in the country general, not to play politics with bitterness, but to base their campaigns on issues that matters, rather than attacking one another.

Eze Onwuka gave the advice, during a courtesy visit to his palace, by Eng Enyinnaya Nwafor, the Governorship candidate of the YPP on Sunday, the 21st of August, 2022. Stating that attack on personalities, will not take one anyway. Eze Godfrey Onwuka, told the politicians to always be honest in their promises.

Eze Onwuka, who is the third deputy chairman of the Abia State traditional rulers, stated that, is
only when politicians learnt to accept defeat that the country would move forward, with a democratic stability and economic development.

Eze Onwuka advised politicians not to be too desperate or engage in do or die politics, reminding Engr. Nwafor that: “God gives and takes leadership to and from whosoever He wishes and at His appointed time.

Eze Onwuka, when he was interacting with some Journalists, who visited him in his palace, said that Governor Okezie Ikpeazu has made a tremendous progress, practically in every facet of governance and evidence abound and also about to finished stronger, in his administration’s quest to stabilize the governance in the state.

He said Abia is doing well today because, Gov. Ikpeazu is governing the State with the highest standards of patriotism and as such whomever that aspires to succeed him, should religiously study his leadership style and aim at achieving higher goals.

Generally, he called on politicians in the country to imbibe the spirit of sportsmanship by accepting electoral outcomes in good faith, even as the year 2023 general election gradually sets in. Eze Godfrey Chinedu Onwuka described their this year iwaji ceremony as a unique one, and thank God for the success.

Adding her voice, the wife of the Eze, Lolo Onwuka, used the opportunity to advised both the children and the women in our country, not to run faster than their shadow, because of the situation of things in Nigeria nowadays. She asked them to calm down, and wait for God’s intervention, instead of them going and start doing things, that is not inline with God.

In his remarks, during his visit to Olokoro people at the Olokoro town hall, the Governorship candidate of the Young Progressive Party, (YPP) for 2023 general election, Eng Enyinnaya Nwafor said that, he had been visiting communities in the state, trying to meet with the youths, for him to know their problems, and to seek for a better way of solving them.

He promised to be training the youths in skills, so that they will be useful to the society, and also bringing development in our communities.
Engr Enyinnaya Nwafor said, if elected into the office, come 2023, he will not lead the state with selfish interest, he decried the present situation in the state, where both appointments and promotions in the state civil service, are based on selfish interest. Rather the appointments and promotions of the civil servants would be based on merit, and will not be under clannish. Engr Enyinnaya Nwafor made this known, when he was interacting with the people of Olokoro clan and their stakeholders, last Sunday, at the Olokoro town hall, in Umuahia south LGA.

Adding his voice, the young people progressive, candidate for Umuahia South state Constituency, Hon Michael Abba told the press, that their party, known as the Young People Progressive (YPP) is not comfortable with the PDP government in the state. Hon Abba, made this known, when he was trying to explain to the Journalists, that the visit of the state Governorship candidate of YPP, is to create awareness to the people.

Stating that he joined the race, just to see how the people welfare could be changed. Going to the house, is for him to know the number of youths, that are idle in his Constituency, and to seek for a way forward.

Hon Mike said, if you come to their party, about 90 percent of their members are new, so there is no way, the party will not do better than other parties, like APC, PDP, APGA and so on.

The incoming member of the Umuahia South state Constituency, Hon Michael Abba, when he was advising the people, to go and get their PVC, said that, there will no more be a political manipulation and rigging in any how, this time around, stating that Umuahia South state Constituency, will not be left out, in the wind of the political changing, that is going on in our country now. Saying that the people need a genuine and good quality representation.
