PAP: Niger Delta ex-agitators leaders appreciate Ndiomu for establishing cooperative Society scheme

Niger Delta ex – agitators have given kudos and lauded the Interim Administrators , Major – General Tariye Ndiomu ( rtd) for fulfiling his promise of establishing a cooperative society for the ex-agitators to enhance their livelihood instead of relying on the monthly stipends of #65,000 and with the cooperative delegates stands to benefit maximally.
Elaye Slaboh, the Leader of Sagbama Ex-agitators Camp who is also the National Secretary of the Presidential Amnesty Program Third phase Leaders spoke to journalists on the background of the recent stakeholders meeting held with Presidential Amnesty Program officials to discuss the modalities for the implementation of the cooperative programme in Yenagoa.
The program had as it’s theme”Legacy project on the sensitization of Presidential Amnesty Program Delegates on establishment of cooperative society limited”
According him, the Presidential Amnesty Program Interim Administrator, Major General Bary Tariye (rtd) deserved commendation and applause for fulfilling his promise of establishment of a cooperative society for the betterment of the ex – agitators , a promise the immediate past IA, Col Millard Dikio couldn’t implement before he left office.
” As l speak to you the sum of 1.5bn is feasible and have been earmarked to kick- start the program, this not a kangaroo,but a reality”
He further disclosed at the stakeholders meeting that the cooperative society would be registered at the federal level after which they will another engagement between ex -agitators and Presidential Amnesty Program officials to fine tune the modalities, noting also that the programm will start with a sizeable number of delegates in batches until the 30,000 delegates will be captured.
“We have been unanimously agreed and assured that within the next two weeks the cooperative society limited will be incorporated and another meeting conveyed to discuss the modalities “
He therefore advised delegates to be calm as everybody will benefit from the cooperative society which is meant to change the livelihood and fortune of delegates of the presidential Amnesty Program.
“Nobody should panic, excercise any doubt and resort to protest or petition, as all the 30,000 delegates of PAP will benefit , but in batches”
Also speaking in their separate interviews Princewill Kotingo and Occasion Victor lend their voices to express their appreciation and gratitude to the Interim Administrator, Major General Bary Tariye Ndiomu (rtd) for bringing the cooperative society dream to fruition in spite of sceptism being expressed, adding that members with the program will no longer depend on monthly the stipends of sixty – five thousand Naira, but will now make them to employers of labour and entrepreneur and become self reliance in area they would deploy the funds into.
They advised Niger Deltans and stakeholders to keep supporting the IA of the presidential Amnesty Program and call on him not to relent in performing his statutory functions in spite the challenges he faces which by God,s grace he will overcome.
