Prince Mark Elayo bags traditional title of Oyigyose kowusakyo

As the Osakyo of Owusakyo attained 30th Anniversary on the throne of his ancestors, over 30 prominent sons and daughters of Alago land bagged various traditional titles as part of activities marking the occasion.
Amongst those that bagged the traditional titles at the weekend is Prince Mark Onyatikpo Elayo ( Turakin Keana) who bagged the traditional title of Oyigyose kowusakyo.
The keana prince who was commended for his roles in promoting peace, harmony, and progress in not only Alago land, but Nasarawa state and Nigeria as a whole. Speaking at the occasion, the Paramount ruler of Assakio ( the Osakyo of Owusakyo) Mr Osula Inarigu called on all title holders to be committed in promoting peace and harmony wherever they are.
While congratulating them for their well deserved appointment , he also appealed to them to be good Ambassadors of not only Assakio chiefdom, but Nasarawa state and Nigeria as a whole.
Speaking to journalists shortly after his coronation, the new Oyigyose ko Kowusakyo, Prince Mark Elayo while commending the Osakyo of Owusakyo , Mr Osula Inarigu for finding him worthy for the trade title also pledged not to let him and the chiefdom down.
Elayo further explained that he would use his worth of experience to bring development not only in Assakio chiefdom, but the state and the country at large.
The occasion was witnessed by prominent sons and daughters of the state which includes former Governor of the state, senator Umaru Tanko Al Makura, former senator Suleiman Asonya Adokwe amongst other personalities.
