South East Leaders calls for withdrawal of Military

The Apex leaders of South East geopolitical zone of Nigeria, have advised Imo State Governor Senator Hope Uzodimma to campaign for withdrawal of military in the South Eastern region, rather than advocating for special fund.
In their emergency meeting held at different occasions in the zone, the leader of Ohanaeze, professor Obiozo called the State Governor Senator Hope Uzodimma to go and convince President Mohammed Buhari to withdraw Military from South East, which according to him has caused insecurity in the region.

In the same vein the president of Association of South East Town Union (ASETU) chief Emeka Diwe also advised the governor of Imo State to work modality to stop precipitation of another genocide against the South East geopolitical zone.
He said that since the deployment of military to the South East, 600 people mainly youths have been killed extrajudicially, 4000 Houses burnt, 5000 youths arrested, while more than 2000 missing which have been discovered in different murturies across the South East.
Diwe further stated that the fabricated insecurity in the region was similar
to the genocide launched by Nigerian government between 1966 to 1970 against the Igbo during which over three million people were killed by the Nigerian government.
