NPA Loses Foundation Expert

The Nigeria Ports Authority (NPA) has lost one of its prime experts who worked out comprehensive modalities for the transformation of modern Nigeria Ports Authority.
Speaking with journalists at Saint Patrick’s Catholic Parish, Umuola, Amaigbo in Nwangele Local Government Area of Imo State during the funeral mass.
Honourable Ogubundu Nwadike the first son of the late PA Lazarus Josiah Nwadike said that, after his tertiary education secured employment in the Public Service in 1949.
He disclosed that first was in The Nigeria Police Force, following his prowess in the power Sports of boxing, he was transferred to Rail way Department which later metamorphosed into Nigeria Ports Authority.
He highlighted that Late PA Lazarus Nwadike remained in the service of NPA until the Nigeria -Biafra war, which broke out in 1967and ended in 1970.
Ogubundu further stated that PA Lazarus Nwadike returned to the service of his Department in the Nigeria Ports Authority in 197, and worked assiduously till 1985 when he retired from service after serving meritoriously for the maximum period of 35 years.
“In his service career Late PA Lazarus Josiah Nwadike was Most diligent, and conscientious at work, earning the commendation of his employers who presented to him a symbolic Wall Clock in which his name was engraved as an appreciation for his meritorious service to his father land.
He died at the ripe age of 97 years.
