Almost all the traders in Aba, today Shutdown their shops, Over Nnamdi Kanu’s Trial

Even the traders at Aba Shopping Center in Abia State have suspended business activities because of the trial of Nnamdi Kanu.

The Shopping Center was this Monday morning shut down, over the trial of Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).
Traders at the all popular market were said to have suspended their businesses, because of Nnamdi Kanu’s trial today at the Federal High Court in Abuja.Some of the traders, who spoke with our correspondent, said that they did not shut down in solidarity with Kanu but for the fear that there can be violence later in the day.

Nnamdi Kanu’s Trial
Our correspondent, reported that the IPOB leader will be arraigned today, July 26, 2021, for the continuation of his trial before Justice Binta Nyako of the Federal High Court, Abuja.He is facing several charges among which are possession of illegal firearms, terrorism and Treasonable felony, which carries a death penalty.

The trial started, following the arrest and extradition of the IPOB leader Nnamdi Kanu to Nigeria on Sunday, the June 27, after he had jumped bail and fled out the country in 2017.

So most of the traders, interviewed today, said they want remained in their homes, and the out come of the matter, before opening their shops.By Benjamin Kalu, Abia State.
