DG WTO, Others Graced Inauguration of Abia State Transition Council

The Director General World Trade Organisation (WTO) Dr. Ngozi Okonjo Iweala was among the dignitaries that graced the inauguration of Abia state transition council
Our Correspondent in Umuahia reports that the Governor elect, Dr Alex Otti, Dr. Mrs. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala delivered a Keynote address at the event.
Dr. Okonjo-Iweala’s address was followed with the inauguration of the Council before the commencement of the plenary session.
That was followed with the full confirmation and official acceptance of all appointments, the Council’s Secretariat issued a full list of the Transition Council members.
The names are Mr. Victor Onyenkpa ( Chairman),Mrs. Ifueko Omogui Okauru (Co-chairman), Ms. Arunma Oteh, Professor Ndubuisi Ekekwe, Mr Uche Orji.

Recall that Dr. Alex Otti of the Labour Party was declared winner of if the 2023 gubernatorial election in Abia state.
Dr Otti made it clear during the inauguration, that he is going to pay a special attention to Aba by investing massively in infrastructure, so as to rebuild the commercial city and restore its lost glory in a manner it would become a choice destination for investors, business men and women and visitors alike.
The renowned economist insisted that Aba is a very strategic in actualizing economic resurgence in Abia state, and in the South East as a whole, hence his promise to dedicate a Ministry to the city.
Otti’s decision to host his Transition Council’s inauguration and deliberations in Aba is a strategic move geared towards drawing the necessary attention to the Enyimba City.
