Security is everyone’s collective responsibility – Gen. Chinade













The General Officer Commanding (GOC), 2 Division Nigerian Army, Major General Aminu Chinade has described security as the collective responsibility of everybody in the society in other to have a safer and secured environment.
Major General Chinade stated this when the Controller of Corrections, Nigeria Correctional Service, Oyo State Command, Mr Ogundipe Sunday Adegboyega and the Conservator of Park, Old Oyo National Park, Caroline Olory paid him courtesy visit. The GOC pointed out that their visit was very necessary and important as he appreciated the level of synergy and cooperation already existing between the Division and other agencies . While assuring the two agencies of the Divisions continuous assistance and support for a secured Oyo State, he called for more closer working relationship, timely sharing of information, and exchange of ideas among the agencies and by extension the civil populace.
Earlier, the Controller of Corrections, Nigeria Correctional Service, Oyo State Command, Mr Ogundipe Sunday Adegboyega said he was at the Division with his team to welcome and also thanked the GOC on the visionary and leadership style exhibited since assumption of office through good working relationship with other security and para military agencies. He seeks for the assistance, collaboration and cooperation of the Division for the agency to carryout its constitutional duties without hindrance.
On her part the Conservator of Park, Old Oyo National Park, Caroline Olory said she was at the Division to seek for support and cooperation of the military to prevent the park from encroachment and bandits take over and aiso not to serve as an alternative zone for criminals. She appreciated the GOC for working harmoniously with security and para military agencies in his Area of Responsibility since assumption of office, which she noted have improved the cordial relationship between the security agencies. Highlights of the visits was the signing of visitors note, exchange of souvenirs and group photographs.
